My secret is to provide tasty, delicious and well balanced meals, which helps keep him away from foods that are high in fat and cholesterol. He loves this recipe and I am sure that you will, too. Mushrooms in garlic sauce is a recipe that is great for your diet and is also delightfully tasteful.
INGREDIENTS:
10 oz. baby bella mushrooms
2 tbsp. chili garlic sauce
2 tbsp. fish sauce
2 tbsp. palm sugar
2 tbsp. Thai sweet chili sauce
3 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. lime juice
1 tbsp. garlic (chopped)
¼ cup shallots
1/3 cup cilantro
2 cups water (for boiling)
2 each kale leaves
PREPARATION:
1. Mix the chili garlic sauce, fish sauce, palm sugar, lime juice and Thai sweet chili sauce in a small bowl.
2. In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil, then add the mushrooms and cook for about 3 minutes.
3. Remove the pot from the heat, drain the water and place the mushroom on top of the two kale leaves on a serving platter.
4. Heat the olive oil in a wok with the garlic and shallots and cook until golden brown.
5. Add the mixture from the bowl and stir constantly for about 3 minutes.
6. Add the cilantro to the wok and then immediately pour the sauce over the mushrooms on the serving platter.
